Meet Julie

Welcome to Saving Up for Disney!

I’m Julie Bigboy, a freelance writer with a wide range of styles and the ability to write on a vast variety of topics. My work appears on the DisneyBaby blog, (as the Day Trips TMOM) and my own blog, Saving Up for Disney. Here I share with you my practical money-saving tips, Disney travel advice and budget-friendly DIY.

A Wide Range of Topics

After working full time for 18 years, I’m a new Stay-at-Home-Mom. We’ve always been very frugal but now with four kids under 13 and one income, we’re pinching pennies like never before! I share with you where we cut back and when it’s a good idea to spend the most you can afford.

I offer fun DIY tips for bringing Disney magic into your home while saving money along the way. Budgeting isn’t just about money however so I also include helpful advice for budgeting time and family too.

As a Southern California native, I’ve spent a lot of time at Disneyland. We love to take our kids to Disney parks and saving up for these trips is imperative so I enjoy sharing with my readers just how we do it! With 40+ years of Disney travel under my belt, I love to share my expert tips for making the most of your magical vacations.
